1. Gradiosity: Narcs believe that they are Special.
With the Narcs who surround us, this manifests in very subtle ways.
Some of the Narcs in our life latch on to something relatively simple, and learn all they can about it to become 'experts' - so that no one else can dismiss what they are saying.
Some of them make their achievements out to be much more than the really are.
Others don't always believe that the Rules apply to them-or that they shouldn't suffer the same consequences - or they are so special that their transgressions are simply not as bad as everyone else's and they use that Double Standard like a shield.
We have Narcs who dismiss certain awards they've recieved, because the trophy wasn't grandiose enough, or it was a matter of 'finally! they recognize how special I am!'
